Project Description
Here we are. Another Heavy Noir project delving into the depths of the City and slamming its denizens against its concrete spires streaked with rain.
With 100 Ways, we are looking at the foundations, the guts, the very fibre of the City and its citizens.
There are a million stories to find and lay bare out there in the grimy stillness of the City.
Some of the stories will involve death, some will involve love; all will be sad. There are no happy endings in the City, but not everyone dies and sometimes love manages to find a square inch of soil in which to take root.
The project will run 100 stories under a topic and then a new topic will be selected and the writers will sniff out leads within the great gray walls of the City for more of the same.
100 Ways to spin a tale, 100 Ways to look into that dark mirror of the City, 100 ways to say something once.
Format: Stories will be short-shorts or flash fiction set in the Noir genre, ranging between 300 and 600 words that must tell a complete story. Brevity and economy of language are essential to deliver the highest impact narrative, just right for starting or ending a day or a light snack somewhere in the middle.
We are not accepting submissions at this time.
